This magnificent rocking chair was presented at the Interior Design exhibitionwhich took place in Toronto this weekend. The walnut and steel mesh armchair was designed by Alberta-based industrial designer Brendan Gallagher.
Gallagher, who is currently an Industrial Design student at the University of Alberta, says he created the chair for his fourth year defense project. The design challenge for the students was to create a piece of furniture based on the stylistic qualities of the fashion designers. Gallagher was inspired by Toronto-based Bustle Clothing's clothing collection, with its crisp silhouettes, patterns and colorful splashes.
