White tile (Wall of History) is one of the elements presented by Analogia Project for Fuori Salon 2013. It was designed by Andrea Mancuso and architect Emilia Sera. On the surface of the tile, fragments and archaeological exhibits from the Museo del Castello Sforzesco in Milan, the Proud Archaeological Museum of Milan and the Main Museum in Rome are faithfully reproduced. Forms from different historical eras and appearing on the white ceramic surface remind us that the past still lives on in the present.
Virtual digital models of archaeological artifacts have been created using cutting tools and the use of prototyping techniques as ceramic molds. This is a kind of project that experimentally embodied the unity of design, archeology and production, perfect for decorating space in modern improvisation baroque style.
