In mid-April, Milan hosted the most significant event in the field of interior design and furniture design, namely the Milan Furniture Fair 2013, the 52nd in a row. As usual, the amount of furniture provided in Milan impressed everyone. Almost 2,000 furniture companies were represented at the exhibition.
And even despite the thematic and stylistic diversity of all collections, new trends in the development of modern furniture production were provided for public viewing, which proved to be very positive and memorable.
Non-standard solution
The most important aspect to which everyone's attention was drawn is the reissue of furniture models from the 60s, which at the moment are classics of modern design. This trend is not so new, it began to actively manifest itself a few years ago. But as this Milan exhibition showed, a huge number of world-famous brands turned to the direction of redesign, which were included in the provided models, updated in the design of the icon of the 20th century. For example, among them is the Poltrona Frau brand, which has released an interesting bench T904 from the world-famous Italian designer Gastone Rinaldi. But Vitra provided the Jean Prouvé chairs in innovative colors, while the tables with beautiful tops were made of solid wood.
Sofas
Modern large sofas seem to have grown even more in size and volume. Also, the latest models began to be supplied with a wide variety of shelves, storage containers, tables, the convenience and practicality of which remain undeniable. As a striking example, consider a model from Philippe Starck called MyWorld. The armrests and backrests are adjustable according to the wishes and height, in order to provide the seated person with the maximum feeling of comfort. The back of this sofa has a flexible frame, thanks to which you can bend and rotate the back to the desired position. The idea of this exclusive sofa belongs to Francesco Binfara, who is also the author of another fascinating sofa called Standard, which has a non-standard shape in the form of a small island, which further adds to the feeling of comfort.
Coffee tables
It is this piece of furniture that is the center of tremendous attention for modern designers, this fact was also confirmed at the Milan insert. It is fashionable to put them in groups near the sofas, they also fit perfectly into the interior. modern three-room apartment , there are various models that differ both in size and shape. A striking example of this is the amazing arrangement of three coffee tables 3TABLE, which was provided by the famous Swedish design studio Front.
Colors
Among the wide variety of colors, blue-green, purple, violet and mustard black are the most priority shades. In some cases it is better to give preference to slightly gray shades, while in others it is better to choose brighter tones, and these colors were present at the exhibition in the design of exhibition stands and furniture upholstery.
