Brazilian patterns and flowers in Portugal

Design studio “Poeira Interior Design” successfully brings together Portuguese and Brazilian designers. The common language helps designers from Lisbon and Rio de Janeiro (the firm has offices in these cities) to create vibrant projects that combine both national cultures. The original house in the town of Isiera (Portugal) was designed by the studio, Monica Penagui?o was involved in the final planning and decor.

The house combines practicality, comfort and bright beauty. A sonorous color palette, juicy colors of the Brazilian tropical jungle formed the basis of the color scheme of the interior.
It was not an easy task, the designer had to work hard on harmonious combinations of bright and neutral colors. An example of this is the living room of the house, in which white and blue colors, reminiscent of the sea coast, contrast with the bright colors of glass vases, lamps, and wall panel patterns.

The same can be said about furniture, in the design of which the principles of contrast are actively used. The unusual shape of the glossy white table in the center is the visual focal point of the living room, contrasting with the massive wooden staircase leading to the second floor. The combination of dark, almost black tropical wood and thick glass partitions emphasizes the modern direction of design. Two spacious bedrooms on the second floor are filled with light during the day, and in the evening, thanks to thoughtful lighting, they are intimate.
