This week we have chosen an apartment in a typical area of Copenhagen where young artists live Christina Eivor, Wallem Hvims and Frederik Lassen Hesseldahl. Their 93 square meter apartment was designed by Katrine Martensen-Larsen of KML Design. The "Scandinavian style" design, with a minimum of furniture and plenty of light, obviously seemed boring to the artists, as they preferred to decorate the walls with their drawings. Indeed, open radiators, mismatched armchairs and a low-lying wall-to-wall bookcase are not impressive, the interior clearly needed to be revived.
Only hanging and standing lamps and a large table are original. The workshop, in addition to workplaces, is equipped only with simple wooden benches. But in the kitchen, spacious and comfortable, and especially in the bedroom, a woman's hand is felt. Original soft pouffes, large multi-colored pillows, curtains, in harmony with wall paintings - everything is organic and cozy. wall frescoes and the paintings are in a modern style and did not aim to improve the design. The drawings rather contradict the designer's minimalism - some are made in the airbrush technique, others are close to Chinese painting with its abundance of small details and bright colors. The young artists who named their apartment "Pure Art" were more likely to demonstrate their talents.
