Gusevsky glass factory named after F.E. Dzerzhinsky - at one time one of the largest glass manufacturers in Russia.
The enterprise was founded in the Vladimir region in the city of Gus-Khrustalny on September 10, 1929. The factory produced products from plain and colored glass with flower painting and gilding. Crystal products were famous for their diamond facet, decorated with engraving.
In Soviet times, the quantity and variety of crystal in the house testified to the social status of the owners, although this crystal was pressed, which had little in common with the crystal of the previous century.
Nowadays, not only the appearance of crystal products has changed, but also the methods of their processing, and the products themselves have acquired new forms. The decor has become more restrained, the forms have acquired soft curves. Vases, chandeliers and candlesticks with such a plastic appearance adorn modern laconic interiors.
A relatively recent popular invention is crystal rhinestones. They are used to decorate decorative accessories, photo frames, jewelry boxes and many other interior items.
Crystal products, depending on their style, will help create an atmosphere of antique luxury and aristocracy, or add sparkling facets to minimalist interior modern dwelling.
