The designer, Gilbert Tourville, who came up with this design, drew inspiration from modern trends in outdoor living. “With open kitchens and living spaces constantly being designed, why not turn the hammock into a family getaway,” says the designer. Design Milk has gone one step further by helping the Malbrii tribe of northern Thailand find new livelihoods. According to the innovators, the use of mobile structures will help the tribe easily find alternatives to heavy field work and sweatshops.
