From the very beginning, the idea of creating a design project in a tiny twenty-meter apartment for a young English teacher was not entirely to the liking of the designer of our studio.
The task was not an easy one – to leave the layout as it is, to make the space breathable, bright, visually expand, and be sure to fit the hostess’s favorite musical synthesizer into the interior.
From the interior design studio "Cozy Apartment"
At first, all possible design options in such a small area seemed boring and boring.
The work really began to boil only when it became clear, for example, that the client's favorite colors - white, green and purple - are also liked by the designer, that the love for light and experiments is also common.
But most importantly, the landlady loves the Finnish epic. And then the designer had the idea to create an interior, so to speak, with a Finnish accent. The idea was accepted by the customer with a bang, and we launched into creativity!
To make the space "breathe", the designer decided to use pure colors - more white in the decoration, in addition to it - lilac, and quite a bit of play with green. Glossy surfaces and mirrors made the apartment visually more spacious. Built-in, simple forms of custom-made furniture helped keep it from being cluttered. There was a place for your favorite synthesizer. He absolutely harmoniously fit into the built-in niche right in the window opening. It turned out to be a very comfortable work area.
The lighting in the apartment has become airy and quite graphic, thanks to spotlights. A perfectly white ceiling with hidden lighting created the feeling of a high ceiling. White color in the interior not only visually expands the space, but also serves as an excellent backdrop for bright decor items. Bright accents, of course, add originality to the interior.
The highlight of the project was the Finnish epic, so beloved by our customer. On white brick walls with purple ornaments, the designer wrote lines from the epic songs of the Finnish poem Kaleva. The apartment immediately had its own history, its own close relationship with the owner and her reflection in every detail of the project.
We coped with the task and are happy that we were able to make another apartment cozy and beautiful, and give its owner inspiration and positive.
