Woven Collection by Timothy John

New Zealand designer Timothy John caught the public's attention by showing the first samples of his work back in 2010. Handmade fabric, which is used to decorate common household appliances and equipment, was a resounding success. The non-standard approach was covered by many international publications, the Deviant watch, presented at the Italian exhibition Su Nero Nero in 2011, received special attention. Encouraged by the response to his work, the designer presented a complete collection consisting of five pieces - a table, a clock, two chandeliers and a vase.

Each object of the experiment retains its original shape, but the fabric texture makes it completely exclusive and unusual. The shapes of the watch dial, the outlines of the chandeliers are deliberately simple, which emphasizes the rough texture of the fabric with rare sparkles. Table legs and vase handles are elegant and traditional, which should express the functionality of the objects. All things are suitable for domestic use, despite their unusualness, although the author's performance and limited edition undoubtedly increase their price many times over.
