Apartments

Think pink is silly and gray is boring?

This story is about two amazing design projects, identical and completely opposite at the same time. What makes the "twins" chi is only the similarity in footage, one address and floor for two, and, well, the owners are relatives. Otherwise, these are two uniquenesses.

Designers of the studio "Cozy apartment"

dispel these myths on the example of two twin apartments.

Our customers were adults, accomplished people who decided to purchase two Moscow apartments on Lobachevsky Street for themselves and their daughter, a student at Moscow State University. The wishes of the owners were quite simple - to make the design of both apartments modern, practical and as comfortable as possible. In fact, it turned out that each of the apartment owners understands these concepts in their own way.

Parents wanted to see their housing spacious and bright, in restrained brown and gray tones. And their trendy daughter, on the contrary, strove for bright and rich shades of her favorite pink color.

When choosing a layout, the parents adhered to the classical principles, but the daughter decided that her apartment should generally be “round”. Designers have been racking their brains for a long time on how to please everyone at once.

It was decided to “dilute” the too “correct” apartment of the parents a little with irregular shapes. And for my daughter to make a studio apartment with sliding partitions. The idea inspired both sides and the work began to boil.

Ceilings of rounded shapes with a lot of different lighting made the parents' apartment spacious and bright, as required. Furniture and carpets refreshed the brown-gray space with their rounded shapes, adding orange and sandy notes to the interior. Restrained brown and gray tones "settled" in the design of the kitchen. The warmth and brilliance of the room was given by a golden chandelier of an unusual shape on the ceiling.

By the way, if working on the project of the parents’ apartment, the designer had to persuade the owners to add brightness to the interior, then in the case of their daughter’s apartment, the designer all the time tried to “curb” the aspirations of the student girl by all means to paint everything in rich pink colors.

The walls in the daughter's apartment were made pale pink, the furniture was plush, soft, warm tones. There are bright flowers on the photo wallpapers and carpets. The main task - the transformation of the layout into a round studio apartment, it was decided to perform with the help of sliding glass partitions. They were made to order, and the glass was made colored - pale pink and purple.

The living room turned out to be in the center, and the rest of the rooms depart from it, like flower petals: an entrance hall, a kitchen, a dressing room, bathrooms, a bedroom and a spacious balcony. The bedroom has a special attention - it has a white bed on a round podium, and the ceiling is decorated with amazingly beautiful lamps in the form of bows. The kitchen is also chic. For example, the chairs at the dining table are all different in Art Deco style. The facades of the kitchen area are glossy in bright pink colors.

The whole apartment as a whole looks like a fabulous house of a fashionable Barbie doll... And why not, because the hostess feels comfortable and cozy here, she dreamed of such a house, let her fairy tale be continued...

Fashion tips from the designers of the studio "Cozy Apartment":

How to make pink in the interior not stupid, and gray not boring.

  1. Even the most discreet interior will shine with iridescent colors if you add a lot of different lighting to it.
  2. Textiles and furniture in rich colors will help to add brightness to gray walls.
  3. Glossy furniture surfaces will give you a feeling of lightness and spaciousness.
  4. And, on the contrary, in a too bright interior, it is necessary to use muted and “blurred” shades in the color of walls, ceilings and floors.

Do not overload the active interior with interior items, try to keep the furniture to a minimum, this will allow the room to “breathe”.
