Original lamp decor

In order not to be unfounded, let's turn our attention to the photo below. Here you can see a rather stylish floor lamp. In fact, it was an old Soviet ceiling with a standard gray design. What had to be done to make such a beautiful thing out of it? You will learn all this from our master class.

First of all, it is necessary to determine what is needed for the redesign of our ceiling. We will need several types of fabric with a pattern, and the more unusual the pattern, the more spectacular the ceiling will look, you will definitely need a cut of a completely plain fabric, threads, needles, glue, as well as a ruler, centimeter and special paper for patterns.

As you can see in the photo above, the ceiling is standard in every way and has no flair or anything else that can brighten up the room. This is an ordinary boring and in all respects unattractive element of the interior. First you need to measure the length of the upper and lower circumference of our ceiling, and then also the height of the wedge. Our ceiling will have ten wedges, but you can change this number.

Now pay attention to the photo above, it is very important. To be able to get the distance of segment A, it is necessary to divide the length of the entire circle by the number of wedges. As for segment B, then in this case you need to divide the length of the lower circle, also by the total number of wedges. If we talk about seam allowances, then they should not be here.

Next, we cut out the required number of wedges - in our case, these are ten pieces, of the same size with different patterns.

After the wedges are ready, glue them to the ceiling. It is worth noting that it is best to use thick glue, as it will not be absorbed into the fabric, which is very important for us.

Then we begin to cut out new wedges again, only now from a plain fabric and their number will now be, in our case, twenty, that is, twice as many. On the new wedges, seam allowances should be made on the sides.

Next, you need to sew the manufactured wedges, however, it is worth noting that this must be done from the wrong side, and only the sides in the middle need to be sewn.

After all the wedges are ready and sewn, you can proceed to the design of the ceiling. It is necessary to sew the resulting wedges with threads to the upper and lower parts of the floor lamp.

Then, in order for everything to look neat and have a finished look, you need to sew a plain fabric to the upper and lower parts, which will hide all the ugly seams and threads.

After all this, our ceiling is ready and now it is an original element of the interior.
