A few years ago, a farmer's house with a long history, located near the town of Treya, burned down almost to the ground. The new owners, who bought the site, turned to the famous Swiss architects Marcus Vespi and Jerome de Meuron with a request to restore their house. The implementation of this project, which was called the "Olive House", took 4 years.
The building was completely rebuilt, and inside it was more dominated by minimalism and a maximum of open space. At the moment, this building is under the protection of the Italian Office of Cultural Heritage. There is a swimming pool on the territory of the house, and a gorgeous view also opens from the windows. The house combines medieval style and modern, as evidenced by a plasma TV in one of the rooms and a stone table. It is pleasant to live in this house, and of course it cost the owners a lot.
