The charm of an old farmhouse

"Maison d'Ulyss" (house of Ulysses) - named after its owner, archaeologist and poet Ulysses Dumas. He lived in this region in the South of France until 1909 and became famous for his archaeological research in these places. The reconstructed farmhouse has become one of the most expensive guest houses in the south of the French Republic (the cost of living is from 160 to 400 dollars per day).

The reconstruction almost did not affect the appearance of the farm, retaining the charm of French antiquity. Even a modern pool with a wooden deck frame almost does not stand out from the general environment. Inside, along with the achievements of comfort, the design actively uses the signs of a century-old house - cracked wooden ceiling beams, old wooden doors with massive overhead locks and large keys. This gives visitors the impression of returning to the atmosphere of the old French province.
