The project of the Wiesergut mountain hotel in the Austrian town of Hinterglemm was created with the participation of the architectural firm Gogl Architekten. According to the head of the firm Monica Gogle, the main design challenge was to dilute the traditional look of the hotel with unusual details. It seems that in their pursuit of modern forms, the designers overdid it. The design turned out to be solid and modern - with large bright halls, spaciousness and abundance glass facades, using wooden floors and ceilings, saw cuts of trees. Unfortunately, there is nothing left of the really traditional Austrian atmosphere of home warmth and comfort - the hotel looks deserted and faceless.
