Loft in a Victorian church

Architectural studio DOS Architects has transformed the top two floors of Westbourne Grove Church, built in 1853, into a spacious and modern loft. This church is located in Notting Hill, London. In the interior of the new loft, only characteristic arched windows remind of its “church past”. The design of the apartment is minimalist. Interior items of bright colors dilute the light monochromatic color scheme. The transparent glass steps leading to the upper floor, according to the authors of the project, symbolize the ascent to heaven.
