Designer Laura Mazik from Barcelona-based Estudio Jard? created a successful apartment renovation project in this Spanish city. A complete alteration of the old apartment required the removal of ceiling moldings, some doors, and the restructuring of rooms. The most striking elements (arched windows and doors, ceiling frieze) remained untouched. In a modern apartment, the Spanish flavor is visible only in the color scheme (made in fawn-brown tones), wall paintings, and individual decorations. The house has a lot of wood, textiles, and successful design finds.
