The area of St Kilde in Melbourne (Australia) is unremarkable. The apartment of artists - designer Chelsea Hing and photographer Nick Epifanidis is not distinguished by the huge size of the rooms, the two-story layout. But in a standard house, the artists managed to create an elite atmosphere. The contrasting color scheme of dark blue or black walls with bright decorations does not look deliberate, obviously - meeting the tastes of the owners. Most of the furniture, decorations, lighting are original. Partly these are vintage pieces (like Gaetano Sciolari lamps) purchased at auctions, the other part are designer works created by oneself or commissioned. Contemporary pieces include the Fat Fat ottoman by Patricia Urquiola, the Strata sofa by King Furniture, and the original Vitsoe bookshelves by Dieter Rams. The decoration of the kitchen is a portrait of the chef "Le Chef De L'Hotel Chatham" by artist William Orpen.
