Many rural houses in Spain also serve as family hotels. The house in Lower Ampurdan (Catalonia, Spain) is now used in this capacity, although a couple of years ago it was a dilapidated barn. Architect Louis Okuer completely reconstructed the house, retaining the old appearance and flavor.
Outside, it is difficult to imagine the comfort of rooms flooded with light, comfortable and stylish. The patio has also been transformed, with a modern swimming pool framed by decking. The interiors retain beamed ceilings, wooden doors, stone arches and masonry walls that convey the spirit of rural Spain and antiquity. Everything else is modern, cozy and comfortable.
