Forty years of reconstruction

For more than 40 years (since 1973), architect Ricardo Bofill has been reconstructing an old cement plant in Sant Just Desvern (Spain). Starting with the refurbishment of the plant administration into the office of his firm Taller de Arquitectura, the architect annually finds new uses for the plant buildings. Industrial bunkers are equipped with office space, archives, laboratories, a library, and living quarters. Part of the premises is combined into the conceptual space "Cathedral".
