Interior of the week: Beautiful English house

Big English family Fila and Philippa Heath (four children) independently restored and rebuilt and restored a two-century dilapidated house in the county Derbyshire (Great Britain). The work took several years and was carried out gradually. The interiors do not leave the impression of purposeful design or following a certain style, but the house, thanks to the natural taste of the owners, turned out to be beautiful, bright and cozy.

Light-coloured walls are set off by antique ceiling beams and wooden floors, preserved architectural elements are not obscured by modern forms. Unable to restore the old fireplaces, the owners placed stylized modern cast-iron stoves in them. Old diverse furniture was selected at auctions and flea markets according to the principle of beauty and grace, restored independently. Bright window curtains, live greenery and flowers serve as enlivening elements of the interior. The hearts on textiles chosen as the main decor element speak of the atmosphere of love and harmony.
