The Italian town of Matera is located on a limestone cliff above the gorge. Gravina. Steep streets of ancient quarters, churches and residential buildings are carved into this stone. It is no wonder that the new original hotel in this city is called "Le Grotte della Civita"(Cave Civita"). The hotel was under construction for three years, for 18 rooms and a restaurant old caves were used and new ones were cut down. Maintaining the impression naturalness, the interiors used meager means - rough wooden furniture, stone floor tiles.

There are practically no decorations. In fact, there are quite a few comfortable improvements - a ventilation system, hidden lighting, and heated floors are equipped. For originality, the hotel was awarded the status of a four-star hotel, which is quite a lot for provincial Italy. The gloomy rooms of an exotic hotel will undoubtedly attract thrill-seekers, but it is still better to have a delicious lunch on the street.
