It was originally a small fisherman's house on the lake, built in 1920. The new owners decided to radically redesign the layout of the cottage and create a modern, trendy design with rustic elements. A promising architectural agency was offered to develop a project for the reconstruction of a house by the lake.
Layout changes
It was decided to relocate the master bedroom so that its windows offer views of the lake. The project of reconstruction of the house near the lake assumed. that it is necessary to install a fireplace in the living room and remove part of the floors of the second floor in order to create a feeling of volume and air. The kitchen needs to be moved and enlarged by the guest bedroom.
Interior design features
The interior design is dominated by wooden floors and walls. All walls are painted in white, which visually expands the space of the house, serves as an excellent backdrop for decorative design elements and plays in contrast with the dark gray exterior. The furniture in all rooms is also white, only the design of the kitchen set is combined with white color with metal inserts.
In the bedrooms, the headboards bear the main decorative load. In the guest bedroom there is a carved headboard made of bleached wood, decorated with a bird figurine. In the master bedroom, the headboard made of artificially aged boards is brutal and luxurious at the same time.
The decor of the living room also uses a wooden decorative panel, made from old boards of different widths. The decorative panel is located on the wall with the fireplace. Another unusual move is to place the TV next to the fireplace. This arrangement creates symmetry in the room.
The bathroom is also completely white, and the massive sliding wooden door serves as an accent in the design.
After reconstruction, the design of the house has become modern, all interior details are aimed at the comfort and relaxation of the residents. The interiors turned out to be bright, harmoniously echoing the external, bewitching natural landscapes.
