It is rare that someone decides on the interior design of an apartment in the rustic style, more often you can find the design of country houses in this style. This project is a bold embodiment of a modern comfortable living space with all the features and charms of a rustic style.
This style combines the grace of nature and its brutality, simplicity, transforming into luxury. In such interiors, everything is aimed at relaxation, rest and unity with nature. The style is the complete opposite of hi-tech, constructivism and fusion. It brings a person closer to his roots and makes him stronger.
Interior Features
The first thing that catches your eye is the wooden beams on the ceilings. The ceilings were decorated with aged raw wooden beams. Brutal ceilings make the space a little heavier, but this problem is solved by lighting. There is not a single ceiling chandelier in the whole apartment. For lighting, floor spots, sconces, light panels are used, and only in the kitchen there is one spot on the ceiling beam. The light coming from below visually raises the ceiling and creates a cozy atmosphere in the rooms.
In the design of the walls, plaster was used, as it should be - it was applied deliberately carelessly. There is a board on the floors, it differs slightly in color in different rooms. In the design of windows and doors, brickwork was used, stylized as “ancient and slightly destroyed”.
Furniture and accessories
The furniture in the apartment slightly deviates from the declared style, but is very eclectically inscribed in the interior. A modern glossy kitchen island does not look alien in the interior, just like modern appliances. Another feature of the project is that there is very little furniture in the rooms. The living room has a luxurious sofa, armchair, chest of drawers and a coffee table. Decorative art object - an old door decorated with forged elements.
In the bedroom there is a bed, a decorative bathtub and a barrel washbasin, as well as a designer closet, the doors of which imitate the door.
Even in the design of the bathrooms, the designers adhered to the style and the overall concept. Modern plumbing is in harmony with the brutal, slightly rough design of the ceilings, but an interesting technique is used in the design of the walls - a stencil pattern is applied.
