Cozy villa in Sardinia - an example of Italian style

The Italian style in design and architecture is unique, filled with the sultry southern sun, the viscous air of olive groves and the freshness of the sea breeze. They have many similarities with the Mediterranean style, but the spirit of Italy is individual and multifaceted.

In architecture, it is almost always eclectic in time. The use of authentic natural materials - sandstone, natural stone, tiles made according to centuries-old traditions. You will hardly find a house in Italy, especially in the south, where these materials are not used, where the traditions of architecture and construction are not intertwined with modern architectural trends.

Architectural features of the villa

The building is located on a hill, the site offers a magnificent view of the bay. The villa is small one-story, the courtyard is divided into two levels. The upper courtyard is small and narrow, while the lower tier is a magnificent relaxation area with a pool in the style of Roman thermae.

The interior of the villa also cannot boast of spaciousness, but this is very typical for Italian houses. In the decoration of the facades, local natural stone of volcanic and sedimentary rocks was used. The courtyard, stairs to the pool and a recreation area are lined with natural stone.

Planning decisions

The main entrance to the house has a small terrace and leads to the kitchen-living room. In the design of the living room kitchen, white color prevails. The combination of a modern white glossy kitchen set with antique furniture, cute accessories and black metal ceiling lights gives individuality to the interior. Particularly noteworthy is the design of the window. Frameless glazing turns the view from the window into a picturesque picture worthy of the brush of the great Italian painters.

One bedroom is combined with the living room, separates the two spaces - a curtain. The bedroom also has its own exit to the terrace in front of the house. The bedroom is decorated in a marine style.

The second bedroom is separated from the common areas, has its own exit to the courtyard and a separate bathroom. The floor in the bedroom is tiled with ceramic tiles, which is very typical for Italian houses, the walls are decorated with wallpaper in pastel colors. Despite the small size, the bedroom does not seem small, it is cozy and bright.

This small villa is a wonderful example of how a small space can be both luxurious and comfortable, cozy and very homely.
