House-garden or how to surround yourself with nature in a small area

On a small plot it is always difficult to decide which is better - to build a large comfortable house with two or three flower beds or to set up a flowering garden, but to build a small house. The owners of this mansion managed to solve the dilemma - the architects designed a real house-garden especially for them.

Roof garden house

Nature enters architecture and design

The two-level garden house is located on a plot with a slope, so the house is planned taking into account the landscape of the area. The roof of the house is exploitable, on it is the main garden. The roof structure and covering are unusual. The shed sloping roof is laid out in terraces, on which rows of plants alternate with free space. The roof is covered with paving slabs, which allows you to freely walk around the garden and take care of the plants. Wrought iron railings are provided for safety.

The arrangement of plants in terraces influenced the interior layout of the house. Since plants require a lot of space under the ground, technical and service rooms were located under the terraces, where the height of the ceilings is not so important.

Another small garden in the inner patio, the plants of which become the decoration of the interiors. Between the house and the patio there are glass windows that, in addition to beautiful views, fill the interiors with natural light.

The architects tried to make all the rooms in the house bright, maximizing the window openings. In the decoration of the facades, front brick was used, which was painted white.

Interiors and gardens

The decoration of the facades goes into the interiors, in addition to bricks, a lot of wood is used in the interior on the floors and ceilings, in furniture and wall decoration. All furniture in natural natural shades. The style of interior design can be attributed to minimalism.

The main focus in all rooms is the plants that enter the interiors from the patio and from the gardens around the house. The area of the gardens is small, but they surround the house on all sides, and a small garden is laid out on an open terrace located on the second level of the house.
