For several years, conciseness, natural materials, clean lines, harmony of architecture and nature have been in fashion. Styles: rustic, eco and country are the most popular among designers and property owners. The project of a luxury farmhouse is an example of a combination of fashionable and traditional trends in interior design.
Decoration Materials
For a house located on the edge of the forest, with huge windows and stunning views, the most logical materials for decoration are: wood, natural stone and cozy home textiles. In this project, the authors moved away from patterns and decided to abandon textiles on the windows, turning luxurious views into an additional interior accent. All rooms have windows with an English type of closing, in black frames and with a traditional layout. Such windows add graphics to the interior, save space and are very convenient to use.
The main accent that creates the atmosphere and dictates the style is the wooden beams on the ceilings made of antique brushed wood. In the living room, beams are located not only on the ceilings, but also on the walls, which gives the room symmetry and dynamics. In a similar concept, the flooring was finished, which differs in different rooms in the way the boards are laid.
The design of the walls in each room is different:
- in the living room - white plastered walls;
- in the kitchen - wood flooring, painted white, and part of the walls are lined with small-format ceramic tiles with a geometric pattern;
- in the guest bedroom - bright wallpaper with a large pattern;
- in the master bedroom and bathroom - Venetian plaster;
- in the rest room - painted plaster;
- on the closed terrace - one wall of natural stone, the rest of white-painted wood.
Furniture and accessories
Elegant furniture in the classical style was used in the rooms: a carved wooden table in the dining room surrounded by Viennese chairs, comfortable leather sofas and an armchair in the living room and relaxation room, wicker furniture on the terrace and classic beds with massive headboards in the bedrooms.
In the kitchen, a modern kitchen set is adjacent to an antique sideboard, open wooden shelves and a chimney-like extractor fan.
Compositions of hay and dry herbs, jute ropes and magnificent handmade carpets were used as accessories. Designer chandeliers and lamps give a special chic to the interiors, which are unique in each room and allow you to create a variety of lighting scenarios.
