The original design of this magnificent house was inspired by Scandinavian motifs. In the interiors, the style of the northern peoples was slightly diluted with local color, but the owners decided to decorate the interiors in the traditional Scandinavian style for the New Year holidays. Laconically, festively and very homely, we can say that with Scandinavian chic.
The area of the house is about 150 square meters and every corner should breathe a New Year's atmosphere and promise a real miracle under the chimes. The layout of the house is completely open, all rooms are combined into one living space, so that all four members of the family feel comfortable and convenient. The light and airy atmosphere, inspired by pastel colors and modern cozy furniture, is designed to make the interiors ergonomic and warm.
Christmas mood
The family lived in Norway for several years, from where several authentic things were brought, which this year became the main elements in the New Year's interior. Norwegian style can be seen in the design of the house everywhere: in textures, handmade elements, faux fur and accessories.
This year, for the New Year celebrations, the family decided to follow the Norwegian tradition and use hand-made design elements, natural fabrics, real spruce, home-made Christmas decorations and cute decorative elements for serving the festive table. At the same time, the traditional Norwegian concept was taken as the basis - the use of traditional crafts and applied arts for the manufacture of New Year's decorations.
In Norway, as in all Nordic countries, the day is very short, so a lot of light garlands, candles and additional illumination are used during the festive interior design. In our case, the weather conditions are much milder, so traditional garlands were replaced by paper lanterns and stars, which supported warm blankets and fur capes and, of course, candles, to create a real enchanting atmosphere of the New Year's miracle.
What inspired us?
A great idea to place gifts on a birch stick. Children can cut a gift every day, and there will be enough of them until Christmas.
The Scandinavian style is so warm and cozy that you want to spend the whole next year like this. A little bit of silver, gold against a background of pastel colors, handmade things and accessories - everything is so cute and soulful! From such a fairy tale, you will not want to return to dull everyday life.
