Modern apartment in the heart of London's Soho

Probably many people are curious about how they live in the most fashionable district of the capital of Foggy Albion. You expect luxury and glamour, but this is the British - everything is restrained, concise and expensive. The modern apartment is located in a building where there used to be warehouses, but as is now customary, they have been converted into luxury housing.

The design project is announced as a loft, but in it you will not find creative chaos, creativity and unbridled freedom - everything is according to the rules, with elements of an industrial style, but somehow boring for the Russian soul.

Project Features

Of course, the former industrial premises have a number of undeniable advantages - high ceilings, huge windows and the ability to create the layout in which it will be convenient to exist.

In our project, the designers decided to make the interiors even more brutal and introduce sliding doors upholstered with metal sheets into them. This is definitely an element from the farmhouse style, but it fits well into a modern loft.

In the design of the living room, the most interesting thing is the lighting. Two theatrical spotlights are fixed on the ceiling on two parallel beams, and one more is a floor lamp. Such lighting brings a touch of glamor to this calm interior. One wall in the bedroom is clad in white 3D panels with a geometric pattern. The furniture in the living room is typically English: a Chesterfield sofa, two armchairs from different eras and a modern storage system with a TV. A powerful audio system is built into the ceiling.

The living room is combined with an office, in which one wall is decorated with a fresco in the form of a map of the world, if you open the door and combine the spaces, then new colors are added to the living room.

The kitchen is finished in white gloss. Perfect shiny surfaces contrast well with iron bar stools, black window frames and black light fixtures. The dynamics of the room is given by open pipes of communications - another point in the offset of the industrial style.

In the dining area, the old brick exterior wall has been left in its original state, the perfectly preserved masonry immediately creating a romantic atmosphere in the room. One wall is completely occupied by open shelves for storing dishes, which is very functional and not typical of luxury apartments. Industrial pendant lights add dynamism to the interior, and paired with an unusual table with a base made from an old workbench, they still try to convince everyone that the style is consistent in all rooms.

Well, the most interesting room in the apartment is the guest bathroom, or rather, not even the room itself, but the shower cabin. This is a prototype of a telephone booth, but it still lacks the red color, we are in London.

The apartment also has a master bedroom, bathroom and dressing room. Unfortunately, Londoners do not like to share photos of private spaces, so nothing to say about the bedroom. But the dressing room is large and very comfortable. In the bathroom, attractive blue tiles with yellow grout and a washstand for two made of walnut attract attention.
