There are three materials from which modern bathtubs are made:

Cast iron - the heaviest (reaches a weight of one hundred kilograms) product of all. But of the advantages it is worth noting the amazing heat retention, long service life (thirty to fifty years), as well as the observance of centuries-old traditions - this metal was the first from which they began to create bathing containers.

Steel - more modern and used in the twentieth century material. At the moment, steel bathtubs are in great demand, so you can find a wider selection of models and a variety of shapes. Among the shortcomings, we note the worst sound and heat insulation - the heat leaves quickly, and the sound of water is heard incredibly loudly. The product is not suitable for those who like to lie in the bath for a long time and relax - because of the rapid cooling, you will either have to get out quickly or constantly add hot water. The only advantage can be called an acceptable cost, since in comparison steel products cost much less than cast iron and acrylic ones.

Acrylic - plastic material allows you to make a staggering number of models suitable for any chosen style and interior. Thus, you get the perfect ablution container for your bathroom, made in any style. In addition, an acrylic bathtub can have comfortable curves for the most comfortable body position. The advantages of the product are the possibility of repair (applying an acrylic film that returns a beautiful new look), as well as excellent preservation of water heat. If we compare acrylic and cast iron, then the choice will fall in favor of the first because of the lower weight, but maintaining the same characteristics. The only thing is that you will have to spend a little more money than in the first two options.
