Smart technology at the bathroom doorstep

How to make a bathroom not only an oasis of relaxation, but also a model of technical excellence - smart technologies and bathroom equipment from foreign brands.

Technologies in design do not stand still, touching the bathrooms - interiors with established canons and a traditional approach to planning, choosing plumbing and accessories.

Smart washbasin

Although the smart washbasin showcased at Eurocucina at Milan 2017 was conceived for the kitchen, it can be successfully integrated into bathroom furniture. Structurally, such a washstand is a bowl built into the countertop with a movable bottom. Using a piston mechanism, the bottom can drop down when you want to use the sink, or rise flush with the countertop, forming a single plane with it. So the cabinet under the washbasin with a slight movement of the hand - just press the button on the touch panel - will turn into a dressing table. Those who do not part even for a second with a smartphone will also like the opportunity to recharge the gadget on a wireless charging station built into the table top.

The new generation of faucets are sensory and thermostatic smart devices that do not have traditional valves or levers. The flow, flow and temperature of water at such taps can be adjusted using sensors or remotely - from a smartphone. Imagine how convenient it is - when returning to work, start filling the bath and set the water temperature that is comfortable for you, and then, without a long wait, immediately enjoy bathing.

smart shower

If a multi-program chromotherapy shower with built-in audio system is no longer a surprise, then the Dynamo energy-saving shower system is a godsend for lovers of technical innovations. Classic and rain shower with aeration, multi-color lighting, built-in sensor for automatic on / off system - the functionality of this shower is considerable. Here it is just right to take up the calculator and calculate the possible energy costs. But don't worry about wasting electricity, that's not going to happen with Dynamo. A smart microturbine captures the energy of falling water jets and converts it into electricity. It is she who feeds the system of LED-illumination of the shower. It's like a miniature power plant that generates electricity from literally nothing.

interactive screen

Sony has launched a new modification of the Xperia projector. The device is able to turn any horizontal or vertical plane into a 23-inch interactive screen, convenient for games, learning, watching videos and online communication. It is enough to synchronize the projector with any of your gadgets and orient the beam to the wall, glass partition, mirror or countertop in the bathroom. So you can take a shower, bathe in the bath, perform any other water procedures without leaving the global network. At the same time, none of your devices will be threatened by an unplanned wash.

Generative design

In the near future, the design of plumbing fixtures will become generative and will be automatically created by a special program. To do this, you just need to enter the preferred parameters of the product, set the structural material and the cost limit for the final product, and then choose the best solution among the options generated by the program. This will make bathtubs and washbasins more ergonomic, durable and lighter, while reducing the consumption of expensive raw materials. Generative design is based on the ideas of copying natural forms, ideally adapted to the conditions of the external environment. Additive technologies, such as 3D printing, will help to implement them, allowing you to print objects of complex geometry with curvilinear planes, voids and a cellular structure.
